Tadao Ando book signing and lecture at UCLA

Last night, 350 people gathered to hear famed architect Tadao Ando speak at UCLA's School of Architecture and Urban Design. The audience was mostly made up of students from the architecture school, which is chaired by architect Hitoshi Abe, whose work is featured in Architecture Now! 3. Also in attendance Greg Goldin of Los Angeles magazine; author Michael Webb; professor and critic Sylvia Lavin; professor and historian Tom Hines; and Richard Koshalek, the president of Art Center College of Design.
Mr. Ando graciously signed copies of TASCHEN books both before and after the 1.5 hour lecture.
